Native Star Group was started in November 2014. We began by installing water lines for farmers and ranchers for the water shed program for the City of Tulsa. We performed turnkey projects consisting of excavation, installing waterlines, backfill and compaction, all subsurface work, concrete pads, foundations, plumbing and setting of water tanks; the infill of existing ponds and construction of new. The company then had an opportunity to bid work for some general contractors in the same line of work and we took the advantage of growing the business. Most of the projects were small but gave us a chance to get our name out there and slowly build our reputation.
We started out relatively small and accumulated equipment and manpower capabilities as we acquired work. We started out estimating and completing one job at a time. As we completed work and profited, we increased our marketing effort to acquire additional work while current work was ongoing and eventually were able to accomplish two and three jobs concurrently.
Native Star Group has succeeded in being placed on the preferred bid list for several general contractors in the Oklahoma City area and can do upwards of two to three jobs within this division concurrently. We operate from our corporate office in Jay, Oklahoma and are recognized by the Secretary of State of Oklahoma as an Oklahoma corporation in good standing.
Our ownership consists of 100% American Indian heritage, WOSB, HUBZone.
